Breakfast Foods That Let You Grab and Go in the Morning

Mornings can be very chaotic when you have to get ready, pack your things for the day, and commute. The weather and traffic are often transient and can also significantly slow you down. With all of these factors, it makes sense that breakfast is often the last thing on your mind. Having an easy breakfast that you can quickly grab and go out the door with will greatly improve and simplify your morning routine.

A Breakfast Burrito

A breakfast burrito is a great grab-and-go breakfast because everything is wrapped up in a tortilla, making it much less messy than other foods. Another bonus is that you don’t need any utensils to eat it, meaning there are less things for you to remember and grab before leaving home. In addition to being convenient, breakfast burritos can also be quite healthy if you make them at home. You can control what type of tortilla, meat, vegetables, and other ingredients are used to best fit your diet and lifestyle.

A Smoothie

As with breakfast burritos, you can also control what you put into a smoothie. There are no hard-and-fast rules for ingredients in smoothies, so you can add as many different fruits, vegetables, and nutrient powders you want. A smoothie is a great way to get more fiber in your diet. Plus, drinking your fruits and veggies is faster than eating them. Drinking a smoothie is also very convenient; you can easily drink a smoothie while driving, commuting, or reading over something for work.

A Muffin

Muffins are another great grab-and-go food. First off, they are the perfect size to fit in your hand. Secondly, there are many different flavors and ingredients you can add to muffins. You can have classic fruit muffins with banana or blueberries. Adding nuts can make your muffins hardier and more nutritious. You can even opt for a more protein-rich muffin option by making egg muffins. Egg muffins are very versatile because you can add a number of different vegetables, meats, and cheeses. Muffins can be made of whatever you like; their convenient form makes them a grab-and-go staple.

Starting your day off with breakfast will ensure that you have enough nutrients and energy to get going. Your body needs food to do all the things you have planned for the day. Having grab-and-go breakfasts prepared guarantees that you will get proper nutrients without adding any stress to your mornings.
